100 Cosponsors for H.R. 1707 - but None From SC


H.R. 1707, the bill to suspend operations at the SOA/WHINSEC, now has 100 co-sponsors. Still no one from the South Carolina delegation has signed on, despite the fact that Representative Clyburn has supported similar bills in the past. Please contact your member of congress now!

On April 25-27, Charleston Peace members and SOA Watch activists throughout the United States held public fasts to educate the general public and members of Congress on the SOA/WHINSEC issue.

The photographer and poet arranged an exhibition, currently at the Halsey Gallery, based on a creative collaboration between themselves and inmates in three Louisiana prisons.
