Congress is expected to vote today, Wednesday, June 20, on an amendment to cut funding for the School of the Americas, which was renamed the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (SOA/ WHINSEC). H.R. 1707, the bill to suspend operations at the SOA/WHINSEC, now has 100 co-sponsors. Still no one from the South Carolina delegation has signed on, despite the fact that Representative Clyburn has supported similar bills in the past. Please contact your member of congress now!
