Not everyone fasts, but we all work, holding signs, talking to tourists, giving out brochures, selling t-shirts, making buttons, ... For those who fast, the trip is entirely free. You can ride with us, and there is no charge for the group housing at the Center for Creative Nonviolence, which is a ten minute walk from the vigil. The $ 20 registration fee is voluntary. You will have a lot of fun, meet some wonderful people, and come away knowing that you are not alone, that the movement is growing fast and that there are many resources available to abolitionists everywhere. Some of us end up pretty hungry, and we really appreciate the talented cooks at the Dorothy Day Catholic Worker House, who serve us an abundance of wonderful vegetarian food right on the sidewalk in front of the Supreme Court when we break the fast at midnight on June 2.

Please join us! We will leave very early Sunday morning, June 28, and we expect to get back around 3:00 on Friday afternoon, July 3rd. If you can go, email anna(at)charlestonpeace.net or call 843-312-9741 or 843-257-2556 to work out a time to meet.
