The School of the Americas (SOA) in Fort Benning, GA has trained over 60,000 Latin American soldiers in interrogation tactics, psychological warfare, and counterinsurgency techniques, and its graduates have tortured, raped and killed union and student organizers, teachers, clergy and others working for human rights in Latin America.
The movement to close the SOA is gaining strength. Read abou the history of the movement to close the SOA, about legislative actions and last year's vigil, and please join us this November 22-23 for the vigil to close the SOA. If you need a ride or have room in your car, please let us know as soon as possible when you plan to leave and when you have to be back. Contact: anna(at)charlestonpeace.net, 843-312-9741.

2 min video - music by Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) "Peace Train"
This is the Iran I know and love and it is a beautiful country of
beautiful people. Please take a look before it is utterly destroyed by
the neocons and Bush (Israelis, Saudis, etc.) Please forward this wide
as this will become an historic statement.
best wishes, Tamzin
Many thanks to David McReynolds for this message from his friend.
